Access nodes are the primary point of interaction for clients, such as wallets, dapps, and other services to communicate with the Flow network. They provide a gateway for these clients to submit transactions, query data, and retrieve information without having to connect to the entire network or maintain a full copy of the blockchain.

To use an access node, you need to point your application to the access node's API.

Flow provides public access nodes for multiple networks, and they provide two types of APIs:

  1. HTTP API
  2. gRPC

For more information on how to use access nodes, you can refer to our documentation on Flow Nodes.
